Abdallah Emad Afify is a 30-year-old Egyptian civil engineer with 8 years of experience in climate change advocacy, construction, and digitalization. He is a youth advocate and the co-founder of LCOY Egypt and ACT.S social enterprise, which raises awareness about climate change and empowers young people. Abdallah is a Global Peace Ambassador and has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the grassroots community. He has attended multiple UNFCCC sessions and is skilled in leadership and multi-stakeholder processes to mobilize collective action. He holds an advanced Master degree in Digital Engineering for Sustainable Cities and speaks Arabic, English (C1), and German (B1).

Abdallah Emad Afify is a 30-year-old Egyptian youth advocate and civil engineer with a passion for climate change advocacy and development. With over seven years of experience in construction and digitalization, Abdallah has proven to be an expert in the field, creating innovative and environmentally friendly construction plans as he acquired a Master of Digital engineering from the Bauhaus university in Weimar, Germany. He has attended multiple UNFCCC sessions as a YOUNGO, including being in the national delegation of Egypt for COP24, COP26, COP27 and COP 28.
Abdallah is the co-founder of the first-ever LCOY Egypt and the Executive Director of ACT.S social enterprise, through which he helps his community build awareness about climate change and the devastating effects of natural disasters. He is a Global Peace Ambassador in Egypt and has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to grassroots communities in empowering young people and finding climate-friendly solutions.
With nearly 300,000 people likely having been touched by his work in the field of climate change, Abdallah is a key resource person and facilitator for more than 58 local and international meetings and workshops for youth and children. He is currently working closely with other youth organizations and ministries to build meaningful youth engagement at the national level and is the COY17 national focal point for the event in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt in 2022.
Abdallah has experience leading multi-stakeholder processes to mobilize collective action and is passionate about social impact. He holds an advanced degree in Digital engineering for sustainable cities and has expertise and a network, including knowledge of the architecture and major players, current topics, and key debates within the climate change space. His leadership experience in climate change, Sustainability and engineering for a leading international organization is well-proven.
Abdallah is fluent in Arabic and has excellent English skills (C1). He also has Very good German skills (B2) and continues to improve his German as he works as a full time Building information Modelling BIM developer in the field of Digitalization and sustainability in Zueblin, the 3rd strongest construction company in Europe.
